Reusable Bags

Just about every store (drug and grocery) has reusable bags that can be purchased for around $.99 each. These are a great investment! Not only do they help to reduce the amount of plastic bags that are floating around (and ultimately thrown away), some stores will pay you to use the bags.

Bi-Lo: Receive $.05 credit (off your total) for each bag you use!

Target: Receive $.05 credit (off your total) for each bag you use!

CVS: Purchase a green tag (for $.99) to add to your CVS bag. Each time you shop at CVS, scan your Extra Care card AND your green tag. You will receive $.25 credit for each trip. After 4 uses/scans, you’ll receive $1 ECB that can be used on anything in the store.

Note: You do not have to use the bag from the particular store. For example, I can use my CVS bag at Bi-Lo and receive the discount/credit.

I try to have at least one bag from each store and use that bag first.

  1. Thanks for putting this up! This is good incentive for us to always bring our bags! Also, Kroger lets you use the credit toward your gas points! Love that!
